So often lately I have been asked-what is the true purpose of Main Street Magazine? One person commented; “Do you not think you have enough money Ms. Rivers?”
Yes MSM has become amazingly popular in a very short period of time. Our blogs get hit-after-hit, a wild fire of people reading the articles and wanting more. So what is the purpose of MSM?
Side note: for the cocky journalist who was looking for dirt, “Do I think I have enough money?” My answer is the truth. No, however I also believe in giving back, I know that my abundance is a gift. I was born to write, and I am good at it. I was blessed to be a best selling author, not once, but over seven times. I was blessed with great talent, amazing friends, love and family. I was blessed to be able to call myself an author and do what gives me great joy, and not only make a living from it, but be successful.
I am blessed to own and operate Rain Enterprises; I was blessed many times in my career, from public speaking, modeling to radio host. I am blessed to be healthy, vibrant and love being a woman and all the sensual curves that go with it!
The purpose, the true purpose of MSM is to give back. I want to thank the Universe for blessing me by show casing the great talent in the world, and especially in Canada- without the limitations and red tape of how they were published, who is their agent, how many awards they have, or how many books, paintings, CD’s etc. were sold.
It is to give a voice to alternative lifestyles, alternative thinking and to support and encourage universal love, no matter our bank accounts, our shades of colour, our religious believes or what societal rules try to impose.
It is to remind you that your dream does not have to die. In all my travels, I am continually amazed at the number of people who are personally, professionally, and financially frustrated. And the worse part- many do not even know why. They drift, because they have let their dreams die, often a horribly tragic death!
MSM is for me, for you, and for the world. It is to show you a new author that you might not of heard of because their books are not mass produced, it is to introduce you to the ‘garage’ bands of the world playing gigs at local pubs, it is to open your mind to new concepts and believes, it is to show off that amazing artist working in the tattoo shop, or show you that the cab driver that picked you up is really a doctor and doing what needs to be done to support the family.
MSM shows you the chefs of the world, and introduces new products, and shows you that change can be good. Simply, complicated and in between, MSM is about being the spotlight, for five minutes of fame to another, my way of saying thank you to the universe.
